ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born and raised in rural Nebraska, Jaden Estes Carlson earned her Bachelor of Art Education from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. She then relocated to Pennsylvania to attain a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics at Edinboro University. Inspired by lifeβs growing pains and pleasures, Jaden uses hand-building techniques to bring her ceramic pieces to life. She is currently an art educator at a high school near the Omaha, NE metro area and serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. When she's not creating art or teaching, Jaden loves traveling with her husband, Cody, and spending quality time with their dog, Remi, and cat, Amelia.
Mission Statement
As an educator, ceramic artist, and advocate for the arts, my mission is to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive environment where students and community members alike can explore their creative potential. Rooted in a belief that art is a skill to be developed through practice and perseverance, I aim to inspire technical growth, critical thinking, and meaningful self-expression. By fostering strong relationships and integrating historical, cultural, and contemporary art perspectives, I encourage learners to connect deeply with the art world while celebrating their individuality. Whether in the classroom, studio, or gallery, I strive to empower others to embrace the courage to create and the determination to grow.
