About the Artist
Born and raised in rural Nebraska, Jaden Estes Carlson graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney’s Art Education program in 2020, receiving her Bachelor of Art Education degree. Immediately after graduation, Jaden packed up her family and relocated to Pennsylvania to enroll in Edinboro University's Ceramics Master of Fine Arts program, where she graduated in the Spring of 2023.
Jaden’s work explores themes of girlhood and womanhood. Using dolls, she creates narratives inspired by life’s growing pains and pleasures. Jaden uses hand-building techniques to pinch and pull various stories to life.
